Romans Chapter 1

1. 1:1-7 Greetings

1/1, GREETINGS. Jesus has chosen Paul to be an apostle to the non-Jews (Pagans). He is happy writing to the Catholics in Rome.

This first image with the triangle represents Jesus who sends out Paul, the second image with a cross to the pagans with the circle.

2. 1:8-15 Thanks

1/2, THANKS. Paul thanks God for giving the Romans a strong faith and is happy eventually to visit them. Both Paul and the Romans will both profit from this.

Paul with the cross thanks God, the triangle, for giving the Romans, with the cross, a strong faith, two crossed lines.

3. 1:16-17 God’s power for salvation

1/3 GOD’S POWER FOR SALVATION.  The Gospel is the power of God to help all believing in Christ to be saved. God will forgive all their sins (righteousness).

The gospel, the book with a cross, is God’s power, the triangle, to save all, raised hands.

4. 1:18-23 God is evident

1/4, GOD IS EVIDENT. Pagans can come to know of God by looking at God’s creation. Many were foolish by not accepting God due to their pride.

The pagan, with circle, viewing creation, sun, moon, tree and star, can know of God, triangle.

5. 1:24-32 Punishment of idolaters

1/5, PUNISHMENT OF IDOLATERS. God punished non-believers as they lived immoral lives. Men sinned with men and women sinned with women.

God, triangle, punished, hammer, for worshiping idols, man kneeling before a tree.
